Andrew Hubbard As Artistic Director/Owner, Co-Founder & Artistic Director of Exhale Dance Tribe, Andy has been named in the “25 to Watch” list in Dance Magazine. Andy is an exceptional Broadway dancer and choreographer whose talent has graced theatre, tv, the music industry, corporate and commercial work and a variety of professional arts media. His creative ability and raw talent transcended his own movement into a passion for training and teaching others, and for several years he taught as an Adjunct Professor at universities, colleges and performing arts high schools. He landed in Cincinnati where he is inspired by the talent, the arts, the joy of mentoring, and the part of all of us that share his passion to dance. She has grown up in the dance world and has studied all genres since she was 4 years old. She is currently a senior studying dance at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA). Jackie has also been training under the direction of Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard, and Jennifer Rutherford at Planet Dance Cincinnati for the past 3 years. This is Jackie’s first year as a senior soloist with Exhale. She would like to thank all her instructors and mentors at SCPA and Planet Dance for shaping her into the dancer she is, and she is looking forward to the upcoming season! Courtney Howard - Senior Soloist Courtney Howard is a native of Fairfield, Ohio. This is her sixth season as a member of Exhale Dance Tribe. “I am grateful for this experience and to Missy and Andrew. I’ve had the opportunity to work with choreographers including AC Ciulla (Broa dway choreographer of Footloose), Jessica Hendricks, Lauren Adams, Liz Schmidt, and even Tai and Taane from Okareka Dance Company in New Zealand because of my experience with Exhale.” She has been awarded scholarships from conventions such as NYCDA, NUVO and 24/Seven. She has performed with Exhale at the Constella Festival, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and the Requiem Project, as well as alongside music sensation Over The Rhine. “Exhale Dance Tribe has opened so many doors, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds. I’m so grateful for all that Missy and Andrew have done for me!” Kelsi Benage - Senior Soloist A native of Wichita, Kansas, Kelsi has been part of the competitive and concert dance world for 19 years. Kelsi studied dance at the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri Kansas City, graduating with her Bachelors in Fine Arts in May 2015 with a dual emphasis in ballet and modern techniques. She has studied extensively under ballet and modern masters such as Paula Weber, Ronald Tice, Mary Pat Henry, Gary Abbott, DeeAnna Hiett and Sabrina Madison-Cannon, and has performed many of their works on the UMKC stage. She received numerous awards as captain of the nationally-ranked UMKC Dance Team. In 2014, she performed Gary Abbott’s Tricheur, Menteur, Voleur at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She has also performed at The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City and been a guest performer for National Talent Competitions. Kelsi has professional training in choreographic design and composition, having travelled the US to gain experience in multitudinous professional dance settings. She is currently training under the direction of Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard and Jennifer Rutherford at Planet Dance. Benage is so grateful for the opportunity to dance with Exhale Dance Tribe, where she continues to learn, grow and perform. Olivia Shook - Senior Soloist Olivia Shook is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is 17 years old. This is her third year with Exhale. “I love being a part of the tribe. It’s such an amazing experience. I am so blessed to be a part of this and to have met Missy and Andrew.” Olivia has received multiple scholarships from dance conventions such as NYCDA, NUVO, JUMP, and more. She has also taking class with and worked with amazing choreographers, including Sonya Tayeh, Lauren Adams, Ebony Williams, Tre Holloway, Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard and Liz Schimdt. Miss Shook spent her summer at Hubbard Street in Chicago. Olivia is grateful for all the opportunities that Exhale as given to her and is excited for the upcoming season. Samantha Reynolds - Core Samantha Reynolds was born in Alexandria, Kentucky, and began dancing at age 3. Joining the competitive dance world at just 9 years old, Samantha has spent majority of her life training in the art form. She studied Theatre Performance with a Dance Emphasis and graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Kentucky University in May 2016. While attending NKU, she has been apart of NKU's touring dance troupe, a member of the dance team, performed in the annual dance concert, and had the opportunity to study and train with the Paul Taylor dance company during their residency. Samantha is excited for her first season with Exhale Dance Tribe, and is thrilled to be training professionally under the direction of Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard. "I am so grateful to Missy and Andrew for providing me with this opportunity to continue my training and to be apart of a phenomenal company." Marquise Adkins - Core Marquise Adkins is a senior at School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) as a dance major. She has received dance training from Planet Dance Cincinnati as well as SCPA Dance Department. This is Marquise's second year proudly working with Exhale Dance Tribe, and she is excited about the upcoming season. She would like to thank Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard for allowing her to be a part of such an amazing and positive experience. Amanda Benjey - Core Amanda Benjey began her training with Next Generation Dance. Currently, she is a senior at Butler Tech School of the Arts and a student at Planet Dance Cincinnati (3 years). Amanda is a core member of Exhale Dance Tribe in Cincinnati, Ohio, and w as most recently seen in their performance of Dead Can Dance, as well as their world premiere of Wohali. She has been a part of several other performances throughout her 13 years of dancing, including her favorite: Jesus Christ Superstar. Amanda would like to thank Planet Dance Cincinnati and Butler Tech School of the Arts for her training and getting her ready for the professional world. Lauren Storm - Core Lauren Storm is from Centerville, Ohio. She grew up dancing competitively since the age of 9, and she is currently attending the University of Cincinnati studying Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations. Lauren danced for the University of Cincinnati’s Dance Team, where she won two National titles and three World titles. For the past 4 years, Lauren has been teaching summer camps around the US and has been a dance adjudicator for Ameridance and Studio Live. She has taken classes from amazing dancers and choreographers such as Ebony Williams, Tre Holloway, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Doug Caldwell, Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard, and many more. This is Lauren’s second season dancing with Exhale Dance Tribe, and she is excited to continue growing under the guidance of Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard and the wonderful Faculty at Planet Dance. Ali Rose - Core Ali Rose is 16 years old and has been taking dance classes since she was 3. Her favorite style of dance is Contemporary, but she has also trained extensively in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre. Ali is a junior at Butler Tech School of the Arts where she majors in Dance and at Fairfield High School where she is a Varsity Cheerleader. This is her second year at Planet Dance Cincinnati and her third show performing with Exhale. She is so thankful to Missy and Andy for all the opportunities they provide, especially allowing her to be a member of the Exhale Dance Tribe. Sarah Rolfsen - Core Sarah Rolfsen has been studying dance for 13 years and has been performing for 7 years. Her favorite genres are Contemporary and Jazz, and has trained in Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. She loves the stage and recently performed in Dead Can Dance (Exhale Dance Tribe), Clara (Physical Productions), as well as with several invitational dance companies. She is thrilled to be in her first year performing with Exhale Dance Tribe and she is grateful to Missy and Andrew for their encouragement and the world-class training at Planet Dance as well as the performance opportunities that they provide through Exhale.
