Katie Farry Katie is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and is a Guest Artist and Rehearsal Director for Exhale Dance Tribe. She attended Akron University as a dance and education major, later transferring to Ohio State University, where she graduated with a degree in early childhood development and a dance minor in 2007. Katie has been studying dance since age 3 and has trained under Missy Lay Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard and Jennifer Rutherford at Planet Dance Cincinnati since 2008. Katie has performed with Exhale alongside Over the Rhine and Bootsy Collins. She worked as an assistant to choreographers Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard for Cincinnati Ballet’s 2013 performance with Peter Frampton LIVE. Katie has been teaching and choreographing around the tri-state area, and she choreographed her first national commercial for Aldi foods in 2007. Katie is a dance adjudicator for Showcase America Unlimited and Creative Dance Productions. Ashley Klein The original member of Exhale Dance Tribe, Ashley acts as Rehearsal Director/Dance Supervisor for the company. She has studied with Missy Lay Zimmer and Andrew Hubbard for the past 16 years! Most recently, she was found performing at Know Theatre of Cincinnati in Hundred Days, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh in 2015. She assisted Lay Zimmer and Hubbard on their world premiere of Peter Frampton LIVE with Cincinnati Ballet in 2014. Ashley performed as a back up dancer for the band Over the Rhine in 2011 and for Bootsy Collins in 2010. In 2008, Ashley enchanted audiences as one of Tatiana’s fairies in Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She acted as Assistant to Choreographer to Lay-Zimmer when she received a CEA award for Critical Achievement in Choreography with Know Theater Cincinnati/Exhale Dance Tribe’s Christmas Yet To Come in 2007. New York City credits include Merce Cunningham Studios, ACE Awards, Exhale Dance Tribe and Collex Arts. Originally from Northern Kentucky, Ashley is an adjudicator with Showcase of America and Nexstar Talent Competition. She teaches and choreographs throughout the tristate, but is proud to call Planet Dance Cincinnati her home, where she is the director of the Junior company and Teen Team. Shelby Graham Shelby Graham grew up in Northern Kentucky and began dancing throughout the Tri-state area at the age of 4, including competing with Planet Dance and performing with Exhale Dance Tribe. She then attended the University of Kentucky, where her love for the arts led her to earn her degree in Arts Administration with a minor in dance. During her time at UK, Shelby performed in the annual winter dance concerts, performed and participated in two American College Dance Association conferences, and was selected to travel to China with the dance department where she performed and collaborated with dancers at Inner Mongolia University. She also completed an internship a performing arts center and worked at the local arts council. She is excited to be back and involved in the arts in Cincinnati and continuing to pursue her passion for dance!
